March 2024 – Eclipse Season: Let go and Let God

March is a month where we move toward unsettled energies after a period of relative stability. Eclipse season has begun and we are already starting to see some of the effects. Earthquakes and other seismic activity is often triggered, weird, unusual and freakish events occur, corruption is exposed, deception unveils itself and revelations / changes and transformation is the overall theme

The first eclipse for 2024 is on the full moon on the 25th March on the Full Moon. The Full Solar Eclipse is on April 10th on the New Moon. Mars will met with Saturn in March and then with Rahu in April. Mercury will retrograde on the 1st of April, Then we have the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, and Jupiter moving into Taurus on May 1st … Overall we have some highly charged and powerful energies on the horizon.

7 – 31 March – Venus in Aquarius
A Testing time for Relationships

Venus here brings relationship issues to the fore. On one hand this is a time of solidifying commitments, but on the other hand this can signify a time for break-ups. Venus will be affected by 3 malefics this month – Sun, Saturn and Mars

When Venus meets with Saturn this month on March 21st, she will be sandwiched between Saturn and Mars – this can challenge, aggravate, dry up and put pressure on existing connections, particularly if the bond is weak or stressed.

On the one hand, it can be a wonderful time to solidify and deepen existing love connections, as reality becomes clear, you may realise the depth of the love you have – however, for more immature situation, one person may begin to feel unloved/uncared for, the other will feel pressured and obligated by the other person’s needs.

It can be a good time to start looking at property and doing your research, but avoid making any offers as eclipse season hides certain aspects from us initially.

7th – 26th  – Mercury moves to Pisces
Foggy Minds

Mercury is debilitated in Pisces, meaning it is in its least favourite sign – which can be troublesome for people in business, or those who tend to rely on logic to solve problems. Misunderstandings are far more common now. Sharp clarity of thought is lost in the mystical, creative and mutable waters of the fish. Ever try catching one?

Thinking, planning and logistics might feel just as slippery this month! Especially since Mercury will join Neptune, and Rahu, who both indicate confusion, illusion and deception. We are in the mercury retrograde shadow period – Mercury will retrograde on April 1st. People from the past may begin to show up. Expect some bizzare conversations and revelations as we move closer to the eclipse.

Mercury governs Prithvi – The Earth Element, so when this swift planet of communication is troubled, so are our mundane affairs

It is however, an excellent time for creatives, artists, writers, innovators and designers as one can think outside of the box, and find fresh inspiration – the mind is expanded, and stretched, but be mindful of deception, lies and scams as this is one of those transits where people may be less honest than they seem.

The 25-26th are the most challenging of the month and reflect high levels of instability –  A day to avoid travel if possible because Mercury will move through gandanta and the Full Moon will be with Ketu, making a partial lunar eclipse, everything will be intensified.

Super New Moon Aquarius
March 10 @ 8pm
Purva Bhadrapada – The Star of Healing

This is a super new moon, meaning it is much closer to the earth. We may feel particularly tired today – it is ok to rest. A time for renewal, contemplation and detachment. Avoid launching projects or offers as the light is not yet available for growth.

Purvabhadra pada bridges Aquarius and pisces. Its symbol is a two faced man. This star is intense, ruled by Jupiter, but in the sign of Saturn. It gives the power to spiritually elevate a person – this is a destructive and painful process as our material illusions are shattered in some way to allow the soul to grow – Make sure you continue to align with your higher qualities and your strengths.

Explore your shadow and your light here – embrace the radical opposites. Find comfort in ambiguity, relish in innovation and the constant changing nature of life.

As the moon passes over the Sun, it will move into Pisces, meeting with Mercury, Rahu and Neptune over the 11th & 12th, then crossing over gandanta – this week do take it easy and plans will be easily changed or cancelled – communication is unclear, confusing and our minds are changing more often. Take it slow, focus on the essentials and let go of the reins a little bit.

14th – Sun moves to PiscesWrapping up a year

When the Sun changes signs it is ‘one of those days’ – always best to avoid making lots of plans on this day as one can ‘kerfuffle’ a lot, be more forgetful (especially with mercury in Pisces) and things just don’t flow as easily. The day can be foggy, diffuse, lacking in direction

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. Pisces Sun can bring a more mystical, dreamy and compassionate tone to our lives. The Sun’s transit here (and gandanta transit/ Eclipse in April) signifies a major turning point and transition, the ending of something major, and the start of something new… Something BIG is going to be revealed to us, things that can bring closure, or a new beginning.

16th March – 25 April – Mars in Aquarius – Planetary War

Mars continues to be strong as it moves into Aquarius, and it is supported by Saturn, so we can definitely achieve success, drive and focus our energies to achieve our goals, plans and objectives, particularly in scientific and technical fields.

It is however a stressful time as Saturn and Mars are not friends, so this is a combination which triggers friction, tension and war-like situations. This will be seen especially in the USA –

In Aquarius, Mars casts it’s glance onto Leo, Taurus and Virgo, increasing energy but also impatience, ego clashes, aggression and accidents. Venus is most affected by this transit and thus the sign of Taurus – this could be extra stressful, especially at work with co-workers, bosses and superiors.

March 25th – Partial Lunar Eclipse in Virgo – 6pm
Hasta Nakshatra – The Star of Craftsmanship

*Please dont watch eclipses – especially if you have sensitive mental health, and are prone to anxiety, panic attacks, depression etc *

This eclipse is the first of the pair, the next is on April 10th in Pisces. Mercury will be slowing down to retrograde, Mars and Saturn will be aggravating each-other, venus will be caught in the crossfire, and eclipse season means everything is intensified, plus this is a full moon, everything is heightened.

Hasta means hand and this Full Moon/Eclipse has the power to assist us in manifesting our desires … but as the Dalai lama once said – sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck! Our hands are directly linked to what and how we create. They can be generous and healing hands. Ruled by the Sun god Savitur, this moon links us to the creator and what is created.

On a lower level this star relates to pickpockets, thieves and people who manipulate words/situations to their advantage. Eclipses tend to bring out the lower qualities.

The Virgo / Pisces axis is one of the most sensitive as it is the 6th / 12th signs – this deals directly with Karma created/experienced and the desire for moksh – liberation from the cycle of birth-death-rebirth.

Virgo is an unbalanced sign, it is aware of its imperfections, it criticises and discriminates because it seeks order and perfection, but leads to unhappiness. Pisces just wants to dissolve and let go, but is tied together with a thread. It must still attend to its early commitments.

Eclipses are powerful times which beckon us into alignment, a time for spiritual work and mindful outer work. Our material affairs tend to suffer during these times as things are unpredictable, shadowy and stressful

Even if you dont care so much, just plan to keep these days simple and spacious – you won’t regret it!
