Well we’re in the swing of eclipse season now and entering the most challenging month of the year – April. We could say it is a month of crisis. For whom, in what way and how much, depends largely on one’s indivdual karma & level of awareness.
Collectively, it is a difficult time, particularly in politics, tight knit family/cultural groups, and for those who hold high positions of power such as royalty and other cultural leaders.
However, It can also be a most exciting time, with lots of unexpected surprises, and powerful opportunities for advancements, new beginnings and expansion, so if you’re living lightly, senses are sharpened, not too distracted by the mundane, not too attached to a particular outcome, then, like a magician you can adjust your sails on the proverbial choppy waters and flow with the changes to come.
I’m spending less time writing blogs these days due to time constraints, however i have been sharing a fair bit of content on my Podcast:

Recently I recorded an ‘Eclipse Season Special’ where I delve into the stories, myths and meaning behind the eclipses and why they are so special – Listen by clicking on the image to your left.
If you were watching the news, the day right after the lunar eclipse on March 25th, a ship ran into the Baltimore Bridge, a major roadway connecting Washington & New York – This is an extreme manifestation of eclipse energies coupled with Mercury transiting through the difficult Pisces- Aries gandanta Knot. Gandanta means drowning, tragically 6 construction workers have lost their lives in the icy water in this incident.
Gandanta transits always bring out of control type events which can feel knotted, or like something is drowning. It also signifies a sharp ending to something. This is a month of Karmic Rebalancing.
Mercury will transit this junction 2 more times (due to its now retrograde motion) on 9-11 April, and again on 10th of May.
Sun will transit the Pisces – Aries Knot on the 14th of April
Venus will transit the same Pisces – Aries Gandanta Knot on the 24th April.
With excess water element being highlighted (Venus, Gandanta transits and Pisces sign) expect major water related events such as heavy rains, floods, drownings, high seas, big waves, big emotions, issues with ships and transit systems, waterways, etc.
Sun rules the heart, when it transits through gandanta this can indicate heart attack, or congestion in arteries reaching a critical point.
Eclipses magnify events so situations can feel particularly overwhelming, out of control and chaotic. Things are hidden and obscured, avoid jumping to conclusions now. Eclipses often trigger earthquakes and other seisimc events.
Mercury’s retrograde April 1-25 will trigger a revisit to certain situations, people from the past reappear, or you yourself may be revisiting some aspects of you past, reminiscing, reflecting etc. Mercury being the planet of communication and governing the Earth (Privthi) element, expect the usual mishaps with travel, transportation, communication, electronics, computers, messaging systems, IT security breaches, glitches, misunderstandings, miscommunication, but also lost things returning, a return to an old project, a review of a past situation, a solution previously unseen… something that was left undone can be finally completed this month.
Venus Now in Pisces – March 31- April 25
Venus is now in Pisces where it is exalted – Here Venus can perform at her best where the devotion, love and compassion of Venus can find easy epxression. It is a complicated transit as Venus will meet with Sun and Rahu – which can triggering confusion, fear, anxiety or obsession particularly around relationships. Venus with the sun can burn out especially for Taurus and Libra folks. However it can be a great time for financial gains, but beware of risky deals.
New Moon / Solar Eclipse 8th April – Pisces – Revati
This new moon is highly potent – a solar eclipse and retrograde mercury transiting through gandanta – all in the star Revati – The last star of the zodiac. Revati is ruled by mercury which just adds more reason to be extra mindful. This day and the days surrounding indicate a fated time where unpredictable and shocking events make the news. A great day to stay at home, stay local, rest, meditate, clean, decultter etc.
Today will be greater than average delays, miscommunications, misunderstandings, materially the energies are not stable so dont expect too much. Leave that important conversation for later.
Eclipses reveal things, the sun is connected to leaders, politicians and people in power such as the royal famillies. Expect so manjor revelations, corruption, fall from grace or some shocking truth to be revealed.
Jupiter (which rules Pisces) being in Aries the 2nd sign from Pisces connects these revelations to money, finances, wealth, family, legacies & treasuries. There are alot of financial scams/fraud/deceit coming to light at present.
Sun moves to Aries – April 14
Whenever the sun changes signs (around the middle of each month, dates vary) it is a day where we feel abit out fo sorts.. the sun is changing its ‘clothes’ so its temporariliy vulnerable. However this is also Gandanta – which means knotted or drowning – situations will feel particularly squeezed. Considering we will be leaving the eclipse season, mercury will be retrograde, saturn and mars will be close, it can feel even more wobbly, so try no to plan anything important on this day and allow plans to be loose.
Always a fantastic time of the year as the Sun is exalted in Aries, it can be bright, confident and powerful. Moving away from Rahu, the sun’s power can return and things will be coming to light. Was was previously hidden will be revealed and clarity will dawn again.
Saturn Mars Planetary War – 8 – 10 April
Saturn and Mars reach a crescendo in Aquarius – this is always a violent and intense combination, but the eclipse day makes it far more explosive. On a mundane level it can be excellent when you need stamina, drive and determination to get things done. Mars can work under the pressure of saturn but saturn is annoyed and frustrated by Mars. This will be a volatile few days – particularly as the issues in the middle east are intensifying. Unfortunately what we are seeing will be reaching a potentially catacylsmic crescendo next year in April when Saturn and Rahu meet causing the dreaded Shrapit Yoga – Karma needs to fulfill itself, and these are some of the signatures which indicate the difficulties to come.
Jupiter + Uranus Conjunction Aries – April 20
While not technically part of Vedic Astrology, i feel it is worth noting that Uranus, the great awakener will be meeting with Jupiter, the Guru and the grea Expander on this day. There is a huge awakening and a great shift happening in the collective. Just as on one level humanity is repeating the same cycles of violence, competion, territorial domination etc, humanity is also waking up the greater potential of reality, a deeper purpose to existence and the transformation out of the industrial era mindset where Time=Money.
This conjunction is set to bring a radical shift, in any direction. Since we are in the Eclipse season, anything is possible. Look at where Aries is in your chart – this is the area of life having the greatest growth and opportunities right now.
